Tennis Betting Tips for the Upcoming Tennis Matches At The Miami Open

Its name may have changed but the quality of tennis and level of excitement likely to be delivered by the ATP Masters 1000 Series and WTA Premier Mandatory event that is now known as the Miami Open is as lofty as ever. I am going to look at some of the odds fro both the WTA and ATP events, but you can see specific match h2h betting odds at Matchstat.com. The event previously known as the Sony Ericsson Open has retained its place in the calendar at the end of March and in 2015 is going to play host to 74 of the world’s top 75 male players and the full complement of the top 75 female players. The 2015 Miami Open then, looks certain to deliver some outstanding and competitive tennis which should make for entertaining viewing. As part of the run-up to the tournament, we have compiled below a selection of betting tips for the Florida showpiece based on what the early part of the 2015 season has revealed.

Betting Tips For The ATP Event

Having won the event four times from the past eight, world number one Novak Djokovic is a worthy favourite for the Miami Open, as he is for almost every event he enters this season. When it comes to betting tips however, it is tempting to look elsewhere due to the less than generous odds which are available on the Serb. That makes the key question then, are there any other likely candidates to offer up as betting tips for this year’s Miami Open? Looking at the other three members of the ‘big four’ of men’s tennis, seems to only strengthen the case for Djokovic on this occasion. Rafa Nadal is still battling his injury and form demons from the latter part of last year, Andy Murray seems to have slipped back again after his resurgence at the Australian Open and whilst Roger Federer has shown good form, his game on the hard courts just doesn’t quite match up to Djokovic. We are not going to entirely abandon the idea of offering some betting tips for the ATP event however, as there could be some nice each-way shouts in the shape of players a little down the market. Two men who look to fit that bill perfectly are the up and coming duo of Milos Raonic and Grigor Dimitrov. Both have good games for the hard court, have mixed it at the highest level already in their young careers, and are available at very generous odds for the Miami Open. Every day of the event, you can see all of the current days tennis matches at Matchstat.com.

betting Tips For The WTA Event

The betting market for the WTA version of the Miami Open is actually very similar to that for the men’s event, with Serena Williams dominating as the short-priced favourite to take the title. There will no doubt be some amazing head to head match ups even in early rounds. For specific matches, you can see all head to head stats using the Matchstat h2h search. The American will be looking for her third consecutive Miami Open crown in 2015 and it may well take a lot to stop her doing just that. In terms of tennis betting tips too, the WTA event provides a similar story to the ATP edition as there appears to be little value on offer in backing Williams. With all of the top talent from the WTA tour on show however, there also doesn’t look to be much of a chance of a real outsider making a deep run on the women’s side. The best bet therefore, may be to back one of the clutch of top players who are likely to occupy the odds range of between around 5/1 and 10/1, just behind Serena Williams in the market. That selection of players is likely to include the likes of Maria Sharapova, Victoria Azarenka and Petra Kvitova, and all of that trio will rightly fancy their chances in Florida.
